We are a busy renovation company looking for skilled carpenters with a great attitude to join our team.
You must be able to:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate
requirements. - Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel
studs and other materials. - Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware.
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and commercial establishments like retail shops.
- Provide training for carpenter helpers so they can become qualified carpenters.
- May prepare cost estimates for clients.
Qualifications:
- Completion of secondary school.
- Trade certification nice to have but not a must.
- Three or more years’ experience working in carpentry within a variety of settings.
- Provide pictures and video of work done or work being done by the carpenter.
- Ability to drive.
- Willing to travel all over the province of Ontario for work.
$25/hr
36hrs/week
We have need for a drywall installer and finisher.
You must be able to:
- Measure, cut and install drywall
- Correctly fasten to metal or wooden studs
- Fill all spaces with drywall mud using correct tools
- Tape joints correctly
- Apply drywall mud finish to make surface smooth
Requirements:
- Secondary school
- Minimum 2 years work experience
We have need for a painter.
You must be able to:
- Prepare and clean surface
- Correctly apply paint using brushes, rollers, spray equipment
